The nonprofit

The nonprofit

A Georgia nonprofit corporation is being formed to support this work from the United States.

To give today, see how to give.

Why a nonprofit

Once the IRS recognizes it, larger gifts to the nonprofit may become deductible. Its board will have oversight and discretion over how gifts are used, and it will give the work a lawful, documented way to be funded over time.

Where it stands

  • It is not formed yet.
  • Georgia charitable solicitation: not yet confirmed.
  • A Georgia nonprofit corporation is being formed to receive larger gifts for this work.

How gifts will flow

  1. You give. Once the corporation exists, a donor will choose a program, or leave the choice to the board.
  2. The US charity. A Georgia nonprofit corporation is being formed to receive gifts for this work.
  3. Board approval. The board will keep discretion and control over gifts and will approve how funds are used.
  4. The program in India. Gifts are used at the program level for the work in India, once the board has adopted a lawful way to send funds. No gift is designated to an individual.

Once it is formed, gifts to the nonprofit will be used for the program you choose; it will not accept gifts designated for a particular child, family or individual.

The nonprofit will not send funds to India until its board adopts a structure that complies with US and Indian law.

Who decides

A board of directors will be formed for the Georgia nonprofit corporation that will receive gifts for this work.

The board will be named here once the corporation is formed.

Who is helping

This website was built and is hosted as a gift by SouthernSky.cloud. The gift will be recorded under the conflict-of-interest policy of the Georgia nonprofit corporation once it is formed.
